Have you ever tried uploading a raw mp4 file that is a few hundred megabytes - 20 mins of video - and it took more than 10 hours? Frustrating isn't it? I have experienced it before. Import the raw video file into iMovie and do your necessary editing or use it just as it is. 2. Once you are done, save the project. 3. Go to "Share" tab that is the third one from the "Help" tab from the right at the top and click it. Scroll down to "Export using Quick Time..." and click it. 4. Then go to "Options" that is towards the right hand bottom corner, above "Cancel" and "Save" and click it. 5. Tick the Video settings and set it as follows: • Compression Type: H.264 • Frame Rate: 30 • Data Rate: Automatic • Key Frames: Automatic • Frame Reordering: unchecked • Encoding: Best quality - Multi-pass 6. Then press ok and move one to "Sound". 7. Tick the Sound settings and set it as follows: • Format: AAC • Channels: Stereo • Rate: 48 kHz • Show Advance Settings: check the box and make sure that: • Render settings: Quality: Best • Encoding Strategy: Constant Bit Rate • Target Bit Rate: 320 kbps • Play Source: Check 8. Then press ok and move on to Prepare for Internet Streaming and check the box and set it to Fast Start. Then click ok. 9. Then name your file in "Save As" and click Save. 10. Then exporting will start. 11. Wait until the exporting is done. 12. Once the exporting is done then open MacX Video Converter Free Edition MacX Video Converter Free Edition 1. Open the location of the exported video file and drag it to the converter. 2. A drop down menu will open up. 3. Choose MP4 Video - Recommended. 4. Then click done. 5. Then click RUN on the lower right hand corner. 6. The video will start converting. 7. Once finished, the file is about one tenth of the original size. 8. Upload to Youtube.
