The Maglev train currently connects the airport to Shanghai's subway system but if you're not staying in Pudong, it is faster and wiser to take a taxi. You can hail a taxi anywhere in the city to get to People's Square, but remember that taxi rate increases by around 35% during night time. Public buses charge ¥2, but for the truly adventurous only. The subway is definitely the most efficient way to go around the city - from Pudong to Minghang Disrict and all they way to Kunshan in Jiangsu Province. The Bund is Shanghai's famous waterfront area which runs on the western side of the Huangpu River, facing Pudong. The main attractions tourists can find here are the Light of Huangpu River, Sail, and Wind sculptures, the Chenyi Square and The Sightseeing Tunnel. Shanghai is a flourishing city where you can find all the good food from all over the world. With nearly 60 thousand restaurants in the city, the food choices here are endless!
