Today in this video I am going to talk about two new lenses that I purchased recently. The first lens is Fujifilm 35mm f/2 lens. Amazon: https://amzn.to/2SavrY8 The reason I bought this lens is that it covers two things for me. First, it covers a focal length that is not cover by my other Fujifilm lenses. I had a 10-24mm f/4 lens and a 55-200mm lens before. There is a gap between 24mm and 55mm. This lens sits in the middle of this gap. The second reason is that it offers a fast aperture at f/2. The reason I chose this 35mm f/2 lens over the 35mm f/1.4 lens is the focusing speed. I don't really need f/1.4 as I also can get satisfying results from f/2. The focusing speed is more important to me because I mostly want to use this lens to capture photos of my family, friends and my cat. The second lens is Fujifilm 50-140mm f/2.8 Amazon: https://amzn.to/2RY8tDO I bought this lens as an upgrade to the 55-200mm lens. The major reason that I wanted to upgrade is to improve sharpness. The sharpness of 55-200mm is overall okay, but this 50-140mm is better throughout the focal range. The build quality is excellent. The focus rings are smooth and the aperture ring feels better. It is weather sealed and comes with a tripod collar to improve stability. The details are sharp even if you look at the photos at 100% scale. Recently I started trying out Capture One sessions. I think it might be a better solution to organize your photos and files compared to the catalog. In this video I will also briefly talk about why.
