This video is for education purposes only. If you use Windows Media Center as a DVR you probably realize a limitation is that no other player can actually play these files. Using MCE and an Xbox 360 as an extender works great, but moving forward Win 8 does not support MCE and Xbox One will not work as an extender. Fail on Microsoft. So I am now converting all my files to mp4. I use MCE Buddy to do it. The Pros - very simple and works. The Cons - slow as all heck.
